With no convention or auction activity this week, we were busy in the office processing consignments and cataloging the March Premier Sessions (which will be up online today, Friday, March 3, 2017). The lot listing was posted to our website late last week, and we have had many inquiries already about coins in the sale. It will be another great internet auction, featuring 169 lots of fantastic coins ranging from high grade early copper, to a great selection of collector grade bust halves, to mint state and proof Seated and Barber type, and better date gold. The sale also features the first selection of coins from JK’s Mirror Collection, a large sized collection of high grade proof coins from the mid-20th century. Purchased over the course of many years, our consignor assembled a collection of many Proof Franklin half dollars, FBL Franklins, and other coins from the 1950s to the 1960s. Because of the size of the collection it is being broken up into several sales, but you will easily spot the coins in our offerings, as they will all be labeled JK’s Mirror Collection. All the coins will be available for viewing at the Orlando Mid-Winter ANA auction.
The April Premier Session is taking shape, with about 90 lots already processed and more coming in. The mid-winter ANA show in Orlando this coming week will be the last opportunity to consign. Come by our table # 611 to consign. This sale will have another selection of JK’s Mirror Collection. As you have seen with the results of our Sessions Auctions in 2016 and our February Premier Session, our Internet sales are different, and they result in strong prices, many coins bringing full retail or more!
The May Regency Auction XXI is also taking shape. We have begun cataloging and we are already very impressed with the offering of rarities that have been consigned. As mentioned before, we have anchoring the sale Part 2 of Bob Simpson’s Standard Silver Pattern Collection, Part 4 of the Northern Lights Collection, the Linda Collection of Mint State Trade Dollars, and selections from JK’s Mirror Collection. Also consigned are many high-grade type coins from all series, including a PCGS MS64 CAC 1652 Pine Tree Shilling; an original 6-piece Barber Seated Liberty pattern set, 3C-$1 struck in copper; a MS65 1916 Standing Liberty quarter; an 1840 $1 PCGS PR64 CAMEO CAC; the Eliasberg-Jack Lee 1891 $1 in PCGS PR65+ CAM; and a nice selection of branch mint gold from several sources, including the AMAZING $5 1853-C PCGS MS64 CAC Ex Harold Bareford and Harry Bass Collections and an impressive $5 1871-S MS63+ CAC. Time is running out to consign alongside these impressive coins. Contact us today! Call Greg Cohen at 732-935-1168 (email@example.com) or Julie Abrams at 845-430-4378 (firstname.lastname@example.org). You can also see us at our tables at the Orlando ANA show March 9-11 (table # 611 ) or the Baltimore Expo March 30-April 1 (Table # 643). Remember, the sooner we have your coins in house, the sooner we can promote them and provide maximum exposure.
