Why do I need to register?

Bidding is considered a contract between you as the bidder and the auction house, therefore you need to register to agree to the terms and conditions of the sale to bid on items. You must register for each sale because there can be multiple sales occurring at the same time and by registering you confirm which sale you will be bidding on. How can I preview the coins in a current Legend auction?

Auction preview is offered at the PCGS Members Only Shows prior to each Regency sale and the major nationwide numismatics shows as the schedule allows. Private preliminary auction previews are also available, by appointment only, contact a representative at 732-935-1168.

Is there a preferred time of year in which to sell?

No, if the coins are in good condition and fresh to the market they will do well in our sales no matter what time of year it may be.

How can I bid in your sales?

We offer multiple bidding options:

Live Bidding

Attend the sale in person after registering for the auction and receiving a bid card number.

Absentee Bidding

Collectors who cannot personally attend the auction can conveniently bid on items from anywhere in the world via their choice of mail, telephone, e-mail, fax, mobile app for IOS or Google Play, or "real-time" Internet bidding & Absentee bidding through www.LegendAuctions.com.

Phone Bidding

If you cannot make it in person we will call you to facilitate bidding by phone during the auction. During your phone bid you will hear the auction and the timing of the sale (the auctioneer does approximately 80 – 100 lots per hour). Simply call 732-935-1168 or fill out an online Phone Bid Form. Phone lines are limited, so please be sure to arrange a phone line at least 24 hours prior to the start of the auction. Need additional help, call 732-935-1168 for more information.

How do I know if my bid on an item has been successful?

LRCA notifies successful bidders within 24 hours of the sale by e-mail.

Is there a buyer’s premium?

A 17.5% buyer’s premium will be added to the hammer price of each lot, to be paid for by the buyer as part of the purchase price.

Do you accept credit cards?

We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, or Discover for invoices up to $2,500. We regret to inform our customers but we cannot accept payment by credit card for invoices over $2,500.

How do I pay for my invoice?

All merchandise must be paid for in full within 10 days of the date of the sale. We accept: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, personal checks, certified checks, wire transfers, money orders, and cash (see section titled "Buyer’s Premium" under "Guide for Buyers"). Are consignments insured?

Yes, all items are fully insured. Once we have the items in our possession, they are insured until the day they transfer to the new owner (auction buyer).

Our Regency sales are held in conjunction with the PCGS Members Only Shows at various locations throughout the year.
