How can I bid in your sales?

We offer a multitude of bidding options:

Live Bidding - Attend the sale in person.

Absentee Bidding - Collectors who cannot personally attend the auction can conveniently bid on items from anywhere in the world via their choice of mail, telephone, e-mail, fax, www.LegendAuctions.com, or "real-time" Internet bidding through AuctionFlex.

How can I bid by phone?

Phone lines are limited, so please arrange a phone line at least 48 hours prior to the auction. During your phone bid you will hear the auction and the timing of the sale (the auctioneer calls approximately 80 – 100 lots per hour).

Why do I need to register?

Bidding is considered a contract between you as the bidder and the auction house, therefore you need to register and agree to the terms and conditions of the sale in order to bid on items.

How do I know if my bid on an item has been successful?

LRCA notifies successful bidders within 24 hours of the sale by e-mail.

Is there a buyer’s premium?

A 17.5% buyer’s premium will be added to the hammer price of each lot, to be paid for by the buyer as part of the purchase price.

Do you accept credit cards?

We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, or Discover for invoices up to $2,500. We regret we cannot accept payment by credit card for invoices over $2,500.

How do I pay for my invoice?

All merchandise must be paid for in full within 10 days of the date of the sale. We accept: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, personal checks, certified checks, wire transfers, money orders, and cash (see section titled "Buyer’s Premium" under "Guide for Buyers"). Are consignments insured?

Yes, all items are fully insured. Once we have the items in our possession, they are insured until the day they transfer to the new owner (auction buyer).

How quickly do you pay your consignors?

Consignors are paid in full within 35 days of the sale.

Where do you promote your sales?

LRCA has maximum national exposure in all the "right" places via our comprehensive advertising, social media, and publicity campaigns. When it comes to promoting your collection, we spare no expense. We also attend 14 major coin shows annually. Besides all that, our extensive customer base will see your collection as well.

Where are your sales held?

Our sales are held in Las Vegas, NV during the PCGS Members Only Shows. All auctions are open to the public and are free of charge.

Whom do you use to provide catalog descriptions and estimates for your sales?

We employ a staff of top experts in the numismatic field and who have access to the latest pricing information.

To whom do you send mailers and catalogs?

We utilize an extensive mailing list that is categorized by specific collecting interests and updated on a daily basis. This database includes all of the names/addresses we have accumulated from past sales and shows.

Is there a preferred time of year in which to sell?

No, if the items are in good condition and fresh to the market, they will do well in our sales no matter what time of year it may be.
